- `temporary-fence-screen-multiplier-2026-07-27.csv` — 8 structural solid-area rows and the derived force ratios over three exact CLFMI bare-fabric combinations.
- `temporary-fence-chain-link-closed-area-2026-07-27.csv` — all 47 CLFMI Table 13 wire-gauge/mesh combinations, with reciprocal closed-area and open-area percentages.
- `temporary-fence-standards-map-2026-07-27.csv` — 11-source U.S./local/international standards map.
- `temporary-fence-code-context-tennessee-2026-07-27.csv` — current Chattanooga, unincorporated Hamilton County, and Tennessee State Fire Marshal code context.
- `temporary-fence-published-claims-audit-2026-07-27.csv` — dated audit of seven current public specification or wind-claim pages.

## Core formulas

- `qh = 0.00256 × Kz × Kzt × Ke × V²`
- `p_ref = qh × Kd × G × Cf`
- `p_asd = 0.60 × p_ref`
- `F_line = p_ref × fence height`
- `F_face = p_ref × gross face area`
- `R_e = 1 − (1 − e)^1.5` for the cited nearly solid wall/sign condition where gross openings are below 30%
- `bare closed-area factor = 1 / Cf1`
- `derived screened-to-bare ratio = R_e × Cf1`

## Reference inputs

- ASCE reference edition: ASCE/SEI 7-22
- Low-height `Kz`: B = 0.57; C = 0.85; D = 1.03
- `Kzt = 1.00`; `Ke = 1.00`; `Kd = 0.85`; reference `G = 0.85`
- Reference `Cf = 1.458`; comparison range 1.30–1.80
- ASD factor: 0.60
- 6×12 reference face: 72 ft²; uniform-resultant moment arm: 3 ft
- Bare comparison: #11-gauge, 2¼-inch mesh, `Cf1 = 9.86`

## Interpretation boundary

These files quantify reference wind demand under stated assumptions. They do not establish a safe wind speed or the capacity of any temporary-fence panel, base, ballast, brace, anchor, clamp, screen attachment, substrate, soil condition, or complete installed system.

The low-speed rows are reference scenarios, not mapped code-speed recommendations. A project design uses the applicable standard edition, risk category, coordinates, exposure category, topographic condition, authority having jurisdiction, and complete system documentation.

## Source and copyright note

CLFMI reproduces portions of ASCE/SEI 7-22 by permission. This dataset publishes derived calculations and cites the relevant equations, tables, figures, and sources; it does not reproduce the paid standard as a substitute for the standard.
